The University of Tennessee does not provide any funding to student organizations. However, the University does provide opportunities for student organizations to acquire funds and co-sponsorships for events sponsored by student organizations.
As part of Ready for the World: the Intercultural and International Initiative, the Provost calls for proposals from University Faculty, Staff, and registered Student Organizations for special projects explicitly designed to improve undergraduate education and further one or more of the Ready for the World Initiative Goals and three or more of the Ready for the World Student Learning Outcomes.
Ready for the World can provide up to $5,000 to events meeting their criteria. More information can be found at http://www.utk.edu/readyfortheworld/funding.php
The United Residence Halls Council can provide up to $500 to events that provide a direct benefit to the residents living on-campus. More information can be found at http://web.utk.edu/~urhc/URHC/Documents.html.
The Office of Multicultural Student Life encourages students to create new opportunities that increase the understanding of, appreciation for, and advocacy of diversity issues.
