The Women’s Coordinating Council is a student committee of the University Central Program Council that plans, implements, and evaluates programs focusing on women’s issues from a feminist perspective. Through these programs and events, WCC seeks to educate and empower women and the campus community.
Some recent examples include: Guerrilla Girls, Rebekka Armstrong, Rebecca Walker, Pura Fe, and an Abortion Debate. The WCC also sponsors Take Back the Night which encompasses a march and candlelight vigil for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
