Issues Committee

IssuesThe purpose of the Issues Committee is to bring interesting and informative issues to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. The Issues Committee shall guide its programming toward ideas and issues that can stimulate and enrich the university community. These programs will be flexible in their forms and will reflect the diversity of values in the university community. The Issues Committee is one of the programmatic committees that comprise the Central Program Council under the auspices of the Office of Student Activities. Recent speakers have included Bill Nye the Science Guy, Reverend Al Sharpton, Alan Keyes, sports journalist Frank Deford, photographer James Nachtwey, and activist Angela Davis.
