Joel Trussell earned a BFA in drawing from the University of Tennessee in 1998. His best known work is as a director of animated music videos for the likes of M. Ward, Morcheeba and Yo Gabba Gabba, and commercials for clients such as Esurance and Nicorette. Trussell is also a painter who’s pieces have shown in galleries in Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and NYC. His self described style recipe is one scoop appeal, one scoop disturbance, a dash of irreverence topped with a few quirk sprinkles. Most recently he finished directing the animated series named Electric City written by and starring Tom Hanks that will debut in Spring of 2012.
