Description:
Each year, the All Campus Events Committee awards a traveling cup known as the “ACE Cup” at the conclusion of Carnicus. The ACE cup is awarded to the most outstanding organization for their participation in the four events hosted by All Campus Events each year. In order to be eligible for the ACE Cup organizations must:
Determining the Winner of the ACE Cup
Vol Challenge
All Groups that participate in the Vol Challenge event will be awarded ten points for their participation. In order to maintain a focus on service and not competition during Vol Challenge, there is no distinction in points between those groups which place overall and those groups that only participate.
Homecoming
Groups will be awarded points based on their overall placement in the Homecoming Competition. The organization or pair which places first overall will receive 100 points towards the ACE cup, with second place receiving 95, third receiving 90, etc.
All Sing and Carnicus
During the events of Carnicus and All Sing, groups are given a final score out of 100 points, determined by averaging the scores submitted by the independent judges (events consisting of more than seven judges will have the highest and lowest scores dropped to prevent any biases). The average scores from each event will determine the amount of points which are applied to the ACE cup standings. A group that receives an average score of 92.3 on their judges sheets for either All Sing or Carnicus will receive 92.3 points towards the ACE cup for that event.
At the conclusion of the 4 events, the points each group has acquired from the four events will be added together. The group with the highest number of points will be deemed the winner of the ACE cup.
In the event of a tie, the All Campus Event Committee reserves the right to award the ACE Cup to the two highest scoring organizations.
